Israeli Drone Strike in Northern Gaza Strip Results in Casualties

Gaza city: At least five civilians were killed and seven others were injured on Monday in an Israeli drone strike targeting a group of humanitarian aid personnel at Al-Tawam Roundabout in the northern Gaza Strip, according to medical sources. The attack, which resulted in the deaths of five people, has drawn significant attention as the injured were rushed to nearby hospitals, with many reported to be in critical condition.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, a separate incident led to the death of Mahmoud Jawad Ali Al-Durra, a resident of Al-Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip. Al-Durra succumbed to injuries sustained during an earlier Israeli airstrike on the area. Additionally, Uday Nahed Al-Quraan, a nurse at Al-Aqsa Hospital, died after being directly hit by airdropped aid crates in the Al-Zawaida area. The heavy boxes tragically struck Al-Quraan while he was assisting in distributing aid.

Medical sources have affirmed that the death toll in the Gaza Strip has surged to 60,939, with the majority being women and children. Nearly 150,027 injuries have been reported since the onset of the Israeli aggression on October 7, 2023. The ongoing situation has posed significant challenges for ambulance and civil defense teams who face difficulties in reaching hundreds of victims trapped under rubble, largely due to continuous bombardment and a severe lack of resources.
