Israeli Colonists Release Livestock to Damage Palestinian Lands in Masafer Yatta

Masafer yatta: Israeli colonists released their livestock on Monday to graze on privately-owned Palestinian farmland planted with saplings and fruit trees in the Masafer Yatta area, south of Hebron.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, anti-settlement activist Osama Makhamreh reported that colonists, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, released their cattle onto Palestinian lands in the villages of Aqwawis and Sha'b al-Batm. This act was carried out in a deliberate attempt to damage crops and fruit-bearing trees in the area.

Makhamreh stated that these actions are part of a broader strategy to seize Palestinian lands and expand nearby colonies. He also confirmed that a colonist-operated bulldozer is conducting excavation work in the village of Umm al-Khair in Masafer Yatta.

In addition, the Israeli occupation army stormed the town of al-Karmel, east of Yatta, establishing a military checkpoint in the middle of the town. During this incursion, soldiers stopped Palestinian vehicles, inspected IDs, and delayed the movement of residents.

Makhamreh has called on international and human rights organizations to urgently intervene and stop the ongoing attacks and violations by armed Israeli colonists against the Palestinians in Masafer Yatta.
