JERUSALEM: Israeli colonists today stole olive harvest of dozens of trees in the Wadi al-Rababa neighborhood in the town of Silwan, south of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Local sources reported that a group of Israeli colonists, under the protection of Israeli army, stole olive crops. The occupation forces further prevented the landowners from entering their lands, while colonists in turn were freely moving and stealing the olive harvest. With the escalation of occupation and colonist violations against Palestinians and their proprieties , the Ministry of Agriculture expects that farmers will not be able to access 80,000 dunams of olive-planted land, which could result in the loss of about 15% of production.
