Israeli Colonists Rehabilitate Water Spring in Northern Jordan Valley.

Northern Jordan Valley: Israeli colonists began rehabilitating a water spring in the northern Jordan Valley on Wednesday. The head of the Al-Maleh village council, Mahdi Daraghmeh, reported that a group of colonists started reclaiming a water spring in the area of Umm al-Jimal. This action follows the seizure of the spring approximately three months ago. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, just two days prior to the rehabilitation effort, the occupation forces demolished several homes belonging to local residents in the same area. The residents had vacated these homes months earlier due to the intensification of attacks by colonists. Subsequently, a colonial outpost was established near the demolished homes, further escalating tensions. The region is experiencing a continuous presence of colonists, raising concerns among local communities about the potential seizure of more lands. The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission has noted the existence of colonies in Tubas and the north ern Jordan Valley, with seven more colonies situated on mountaintops. The commission also reported that since the beginning of 2024, colonists have perpetrated over 1,732 attacks on Palestinians, highlighting the ongoing conflict and the precarious situation faced by local residents in the area.
