JERICHO: Israeli colonial settlers today, heavily protected by the occupation army, proceeded with excavation works on land near the Al-Malihat Arab community, northwest of Jericho. Hassan Mleihat, the supervisor of the Al-Baidar organization for defending the rights of the Bedouins, said that a group of Israeli colonists, accompanied by army vehicles, proceeded with excavation works on land adjacent to the Mleihat Arab community on the Al-Ma'rajat Road, west of Jericho, often a step seen as a prelude to taking over it. He said such works aim to build caravans for the colonists on about 500 dunums of land and to seize more lands, restricting Palestinian's movements. Source: Palestine News and Information Agency
