BETHLEHEM: Israeli colonists this evening placed a mobile home in the town of Taqou, southeast of the southern West Bank city of Bethlehem, a step often seen as a prelude to taking over the land, said a local activist. Hasan Breijieh, director of the Bethlehem Wall and Settlements Resistance office, told WAFA correspondent that a group of colonial settlers placed a caravan in the Taqou wilderness. The official stressed a significant surge in colonists' attacks against communities in the al-Badiya Sharqiyah area, which includes several communities. The attacks include the seizure of caves, the erection of mobile homes, forcing landowners to leave and banning them from accessing their lands, and the demolition of agricultural rooms and tents.
