Israeli colonists killed a Palestinian and critically injured another in an attack on the village of Jit, east of the occupied West Bank city of Qalqilya. Local sources said that armed colonists mounted an attack against the western area of the village, setting several vehicles ablaze and opening fire towards a citizen, critically wounding him, Palestinian news agency (WAFA) reported. The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said that its medics provided first aid treatment to the injured, who sustained a chest wound, and rushed him to a hospital, where his condition was described as critical. Colonist violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities. Colonist violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, attacks on vulnerable homes, among others. There are over 700,000 Israeli colonists living in colonial settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem. Source : Qatar News A gency
