BETHLEHEM: An Israeli colonist erected two tents today on a Palestinian land in the town of Al-Khader, in the southern West Bank province of Bethlehem, according to local officials. Ibrahim Mousa, a member of the Al-Khadr municipality, reported that the colonist set up the tents and water tanks in the Shaab al-Ajl area, which belongs to a local resident, with the intent of establishing a pastoral outpost. This incident comes amid a surge in settler activity and Israeli military attacks in Al-Khader and the wider Bethlehem area since October 7. Local sources note that Israeli colonists have increasingly seized large areas of land for the establishment of new settlements in the vicinity of the village, while expanding existing outposts.
