GAZA: Israeli aerial and artillery bombardment across the Gaza Strip today killed at least 44 Palestinians and injured scores of others, according to WAFA correspondent. He said that Israeli warplanes targeted the apartments of the Mushtaha and Abu al-Atta families, located behind the Holy Family Catholic Church in the Old City of Gaza, killing at least five people and injuring others. He added that the emergency and rescue teams managed to recover the bodies of five people and several casualties from the rubble of the apartments. Meanwhile, the occupation fighter jets bombed a house of the Salah family in ash-Shati refugee camp, west of the city of Gaza, killing at least 10 people and injuring 17 others. The fatalities and casualties were rushed to the al-Ahli Arab Hospital, known as al-Mamadani. Later on, the occupation artillery shelled Zaytoun neighbourhood, southeast of the city, resulting in the killing of two people. In the central Gaza Strip, Israeli warplanes conducted an airstrike against the vicinity of Wadi Gaza (Gaza Valley), resulting in a number of casualties. In the southern war-torn Strip, another Israeli airstrike slammed Khirbet al-Adas, north of the city, resulting in two fatalities and several casualties. This came as the occupation artillery shelled tents sheltering displaced people in al-Mawasi area, northwest of Rafah, which had been designated a "humanitarian zone" by the occupation forces, killing 25 people and injuring others. Elaborating on the shelling of al-Mawasi, WAFA correspondent said that Israeli military aircrafts broke the sound barrier over the area and targeted people once they gathered with a missile. Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said that its paramedics were dealing with a large number of fatalities and casualties in the area. Another Israeli airstrike targeted a house of ash-Sharif family, east of Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Strip, resulting in a number of casualties. The casualties, including a critically injured six-year-old girl, was rus hed to al-Awda Hospital. Tried before the International Court of Justice for genocide against Palestinians, Israel has been waging a devastating war on Gaza since October 7, killing at least 37,431 Palestinians and injuring over 85,653 others. Moreover, approximately 10,000 people are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes throughout the Strip. Palestinian and international organizations say that the majority of those killed and wounded are women and children. The Israeli aggression has also resulted in the forceful displacement of nearly two million people from all over the Gaza Strip, with the vast majority of the displaced forced into the densely crowded southern city of Rafah near the border with Egypt - in what has become Palestine's largest mass exodus since the 1948 Nakba.
