GAZA CITY: At least 33 Palestinians were killed and dozens more injured in Nuseirat, central Gaza, following Israeli airstrikes on a building and several homes. The incident underscores the escalating conflict in the region, with the majority of victims reported to be women and children, contributing to a rising humanitarian crisis. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Israeli warplanes launched multiple airstrikes on the Nuseirat refugee camp, causing significant casualties. Medical sources confirmed that since Thursday morning, Israeli airstrikes across Gaza have claimed the lives of 70 individuals, with 57 fatalities occurring in the central and southern parts of the Gaza Strip. The ongoing Israeli military operations have resulted in at least 44,835 documented Palestinian deaths since October 2023, with over 106,356 others injured. Thousands of victims are feared trapped under rubble, with emergency and civil defense teams unable to reach them due to continued attacks. Despite cal ls from the United Nations Security Council for an immediate ceasefire, and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent further genocide and address the dire humanitarian situation, the Israeli military operations continue unabated.
