Israeli Aggression Continues for 36th Day in Jenin

Jenin: The Israeli occupation continues its aggression on the city of Jenin and its camp for the thirty-sixth consecutive day, which has so far resulted in the deaths of 27 Palestinians, numerous injuries, and detentions amidst widespread destruction of property and infrastructure. The occupation forces withdrew this morning from the town of Qabatiya after a 48-hour raid, which left two people injured, one seriously, and involved the detention of several individuals. The raid caused extensive destruction to citizens' property and shops, and also damaged water and electricity networks, demolished infrastructure, and destroyed the town's main vehicle garage.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the occupation has completely demolished about 120 homes and partially demolished dozens more within the camp. The occupation forces also destroyed a bus belonging to the Orphan Care Society in the town and led to the closure of the vegetable market. During the raid, dozens of homes were entered, and some were turned into military barracks.

Yesterday, the occupation forces detained three citizens from their homes in Jenin camp and set fire to homes near the camp club. The ongoing aggression has displaced 20,000 people from the camp, completely or partially destroyed approximately 430 homes, deprived 2,000 students of schooling, and resulted in the detention of about 178 people from the city and the camp.

This morning, the occupation detained freed prisoner Bilal Al-Sharqawi from the town of Zababdeh after raiding his house. The extensive destruction caused by occupation bulldozers has altered the camp's neighborhoods, destroying homes and properties and changing the camp's geography. Roads and streets have been opened and expanded in some neighborhoods.

The occupation continues to seize several citizens' homes, converting them into military outposts, especially in buildings close to Jenin camp. Residents in these areas face difficulties entering and exiting due to the presence of snipers, which endangers their lives.

According to the Palestinian Prisoners Club, since the aggression began 36 days ago, approximately 200 detentions have occurred in Jenin. Yesterday, the occupation stormed the town of Burqin, west of Jenin, and destroyed the infrastructure around the Al-Abarah area. The occupation continues to expand its aggression, storming towns and villages in the Jenin Governorate almost daily, conducting arrest campaigns, and destroying infrastructure.
