Tulkarm: Israeli troops have reportedly destroyed 40 residential buildings in Tulkarm as the occupation and siege of Tulkarm Camp continue for the 30th consecutive day. The head of the Popular Committee for Tulkarm Camp Services, Faisal Salama, disclosed that the ongoing aggression has displaced residents at gunpoint and caused widespread damage to homes, streets, alleys, and various facilities within the camp.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the occupation forces have completely destroyed at least 40 residential buildings, including 100 apartments, and burned no less than 10 homes. Additionally, at least 300 shops have been destroyed, with hundreds of homes partially damaged and belongings of camp residents vandalized.
Salama further revealed that the forces paved a road through four neighborhoods, resulting in the demolition of 26 buildings. This action led to severe damage to surrounding infrastructure. The occupation has forced over 12,000 residents to relocate under threat, suspending education for 2,000 students and halting health services.
Moreover, the aggression has caused unprecedented destruction of infrastructure, affecting electricity, water, sewage, and communication networks. Salama emphasized that the occupation appears to aim for political and media goals, targeting the refugee issue by altering the camp's architectural and demographic nature and rendering it uninhabitable.
