JERUSALEM: Israeli occupation forces forced a Jerusalemite citizen near French Hill in Shuafat to demolish his own house. Hashem Sabah, the owner, told Wafa that his house has been targeted by the occupation since 1982, as it is the only house in the area, and part of the land has been seized. "My family consists of eight people, and I expanded the house in 2012 on our land, and paid a large fine, but today the occupation forced us to self-demolish the house (expansion) to avoid new fines and exorbitant demolition costs, if the occupation mechanisms demolish it," he said.
