RAMALLAH: The Detainees' and Ex-Detainees' Affairs Commission and the Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS) said that the Israeli occupation authorities escalated the detention of Palestinian released in the swap deals, bringing the number of arrests to 13, 11 of whom are still detained by Israel. To be noted, 240 Palestinian female detainees and children detained in the occupation prisons were released as part of the prisoners' swap deals last November. It is noteworthy that Israel continues to pursue a policy of re-arresting and targeting ex-detainees. Arresting ex-detainees as part of the 'prisoner exchange' deal, which took place in 2011, is considered to be one of the most serious issues that the ex-detainees have faced over the past years.
