Washington: Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al Sudani underlined that Iraq is interested in acquiring US weapons and expertise, stressing the keenness on the security partnership with the United States. This came during his meeting with US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin in Washington. Meanwhile, the Pentagon said in a statement that the US State Department has approved the potential sale of aircraft contractor logistics support and training to Iraq for an estimated cost of $140 million.
