The Iraqi National Security Service (INSS) announced, today, Thursday, the arrest of (44) blackmailers in (9) governorates. The INSS said in a statement: 'Based on several complaints received by the Iraqi National Security Service through its official platforms and the toll-free hotline (131) from citizens who were subjected to cases of electronic blackmail and financial bargaining in exchange for not publishing their private photos on social media sites, our detachments were able, after activating the technical and intelligence efforts, and obtaining judiciary approvals to arrest 44 blackmailers. The statement added: "The arrests took place through separate duties and over the course of a month in Baghdad and the provinces." It continued: 'The defendants' statements were recorded and referred to the competent judicial authorities. Source: National Iraqi News Agency
