President of the Iraqi Kurdistan Region Nechirvan Barzani has stressed the region's determination to strengthen bilateral relations with Iran, especially in the security field. This came in a joint press conference Thursday with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, who is currently visiting Erbil. Barzani said that the Kurdistan Region is ready to strengthen relations with Iran at all levels, stressing that the region's land will not pose a threat to Iran in any way. For his part, the Iranian President expressed his happiness to visit Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, noting that his country attaches great importance to its relations with Iraq and the Kurdistan Region in order to work together in all fields and remove problems and obstacles.
