Iraq stressed the importance of enhancing international cooperation to confront illegal activities across national borders. The Head of the Iraqi delegation to the meetings of the twelfth session of the Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime, held in Vienna, Minister Plenipotentiary Hussein Mansour Al-Safi stressed: "Iraq's support for the efforts of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Organized Crime." Al-Safi stressed, according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the importance of enhancing international cooperation, based on the principles of shared responsibility, to confront all illegal activities across national borders.
