Iraq on Friday received three valuable artifacts, which were recovered from Switzerland. The pieces include a statue and two murals dating back to the Assyrian era BC. In a statement, the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs praised the cooperation between Iraq and Switzerland within the framework of diplomacy to recover smuggled antiquities, in order to recover this cultural heritage. The Iraqi government had received thousands of artifacts from several countries dating back to the Mesopotamian civilization. During the past two years, it received dozens of artifacts from the Swiss government. Source: Qatar News Agency
