Baghdad: The Iraqi Ministry of Transport reported that three earthquakes occurred in various regions of the country on Sunday evening. According to a press release issued by the ministry Monday, the first earthquake was recorded in the northeast of Kalar in the Sulaymaniyah Governorate and in the northern part of the Khanaqin area in Diyala Governorate. This earthquake registered a magnitude of 4.9 on the Richter scale. Following the initial tremor, two smaller earthquakes were reported, with magnitudes of 2.5 and 2.0, respectively.
