Baghdad, The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Multilateral Affairs and Legal Affairs, Omar Al-Barzanji, and the Turkish Ambassador, Anil Bora Inan, stressed the necessity of joint cooperation in the field of extradition and return of convicts and transfer of convicts to serve their sentences in their country. A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the Undersecretary of the Ministry received the Turkish Ambassador and his accompanying delegation at the Ministry's headquarters. During the meeting, they discussed the results of the official visit that Al-Barzanji made to Ankara last July and his meeting with the Undersecretary of the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, especially with regard to strengthening and developing bilateral relations, and ways to advance them to what meets the aspirations of the two friendly peoples. The two sides stressed, according to the statement, the necessity of joint cooperation in the field of extradition and return of convicts, transf er of convicts to serve their sentences in their country, and discussing consular affairs, security, combating terrorism, and judicial cooperation.
