Iraq and Saudi Arabia discussed preparations for holding preparatory meetings for the Coordination Council between the two countries. A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the Iraqi Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Safiya Al-Suhail, met with the Undersecretary of the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, Ambassador Saud Al-Sati, at the headquarters of the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During the meeting, according to the statement, ways to enhance bilateral relations and joint cooperation in various fields between the two brotherly countries were discussed, with a focus on preparations for holding preparatory meetings for the Iraqi-Saudi Coordination Council. The meeting also discussed, according to the statement, activating the work of the technical committees affiliated with the council and working to overcome challenges to achieve the aspirations of the leaderships of the two countries. The meeting also touched on supporting mutual investment and st rengthening public diplomacy by organizing joint cultural events that contribute to strengthening fraternal ties between the two peoples.
