Baghdad: The Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Beirut, Amin Abdul-Ilah Al-Nasrawi, met with the Minister of Finance in the Lebanese caretaker government, Youssef Al-Khalil, at the Ministry of Finance building in Beirut. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a statement, "During the meeting, bilateral relations between the two countries were discussed, as Al-Nasrawi stressed the keenness of the government of the Republic of Iraq to exchange experiences in various fields of financial and tax policies and enhance opportunities for economic cooperation between Iraq and Lebanon." For his part, Minister Youssef Al-Khalil expressed his "thanks and appreciation to the Republic of Iraq for the continuous support it provides to Lebanon, government and people, pointing to the depth of the solid relations between the two countries in all fields."
