The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Bilateral Relations, Muhammad Hussein Muhammad Bahr al-Ulum, received today, Thursday, at the Ministry's headquarters in Baghdad, the Ambassador of the Republic of India to Iraq, Prashant Bisai, on the occasion of the end of his term. A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that during the meeting, bilateral relations between the two countries were reviewed and the importance of strengthening cooperation in all fields was emphasized. The Undersecretary of the Ministry expressed his deep thanks for the efforts made by the Ambassador during his tenure in Iraq, wishing him success in his future missions. For his part, the Indian Ambassador thanked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the support and assistance that contributed to the success and facilitation of the tasks of the diplomatic mission in Baghdad. He also expressed his happiness with the welcome and hospitality he received during his tenure in Iraq, stressing the need to contin ue cooperation between the two countries in a way that serves common interests.
