Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stressed: "Basra represents the depth of the relationship with Iraq." Pezeshkian said in a speech at the Oil Cultural Center in Basra: "Since winning the elections, one of our goals has been to visit Iraq and develop relations that extend over a great history of time." He added: "Iraq represents Islamic harmony and unity, and Basra represents this depth in the relationship with Iraq, in addition to what it represents as an economic depth for Iraq.
