Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi confirmed his country's readiness for any scenario, and that it does not want war or escalation. According to Al Jazeera, Araghchi said: "We will see how the attack will be, and based on that we will determine the nature of our response, which we will study very carefully," noting: "The Zionist entity is looking for a large-scale war and dragging countries into this war." He added: "The Zionists can test our will," noting: "Iran is not the only one that does not want a large-scale war, but everyone knows the catastrophe of this war." He continued: "The resistance is capable of responding to the Zionist entity, and Netanyahu did not achieve the goal of his war in Gaza by eliminating Hamas, and he will face the same situation in Lebanon." He went on to say: "We have never abandoned supporting the resistance, and I announced from Beirut that Iran will not abandon the resistance, and that our support will not be limited to political and diplomatic support, and we will p rovide them with anything necessary, no matter what." He also said: "My meetings in Beirut were serious and good and did not involve any tensions, and we will support the decisions of the Lebanese government and the resistance. We held consultations on how to cease fire and stop the massacres, killing and destruction." He pointed out that Saudi Arabia has a major role in the region, and Qatar is an influential country and we are holding consultations with them to stop the war, noting: "Diplomatic channels are open with America through other countries and we exchange views indirectly."
