IOF Arrests Over 25 Palestinian Civilians in West Bank

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) arrested at least 25 Palestinian civilians in areas in the West Bank, including Occupied Jerusalem (Al-Quds), since yesterday until morning today. In a joint statement, Palestinian Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs and Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS) reported that among the Palestinians arrested by the IOF were two wounded civilians, two female students and a journalist, in addition to a child and several freed captives, indicating that the arrests took place across the governorates of Tulkarm, Al-Khalil, Ramallah, Bethlehem, Tubas, Nablus and Al-Quds. The IOF continues to carry out widespread raids and abuse, attacks against detainees and their families, and direct shootings to murder detainees and use them as human shields, in addition to sabotage and destruction of citizens' homes as well as the destruction of infrastructure. Since the beginning of Israel's ongoing genocide, the number of detainees in the West Bank has reached more than 9,785 civil ians from all segments of Palestinian society, the statement added, adding that these arrests included those who were arrested from homes or through military checkpoints, as well as those who were forced to surrender themselves under pressure, and those who were held hostage.
