Palestinian Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs and Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS) stated that the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) arrested more than 9,655 Palestinian civilians from many areas in the West Bank, including Occupied Jerusalem (Al-Quds), since the beginning of the Israeli genocide on the Gaza Strip on Oct. 7, 2023. PPS and the commission said in joint statement today that these arrests included those who were arrested from homes or through military checkpoints, as well as those who were forced to surrender themselves under pressure, and those who were held hostage. In the past two days, the IOF arrested at least 30 Palestinian civilians in the West Bank, including freed captives, the statement noted, indicating that these arrests took place in Ramallah, Al-Khalil, Qalqilya, Tulkarm, Jenin, Ariha and Al-Quds.
