The General Directorate of Intelligence and Security announced today, Sunday, the arrest of one of the elements of the terrorist ISIS gangs in Salah al-Din Governorate. The Directorate stated in a statement, "Under the direct follow up and supervision of the Minister of Defense Thabet Mohammed al-Abbasi, as part of the continuation of implementing qualitative operations by the heroes of the General Directorate of Intelligence and Security at the Ministry of Defense, and after receiving accurate intelligence information, the Special Intelligence Missions Cell affiliated to the Directorate was able to arrest one of the elements of the terrorist ISIS gangs in Salah al-Din Governorate." It added, "An arrest warrant was issued against the terrorist in accordance with the provisions of Article (4) of the Anti-Terrorism Law," noting that "legal measures were taken against him and he was referred to the judiciary."
