Today, Mohammed Al-Nuaimi, a member of the Supreme Political Council, along with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Administration and Local and Rural Development, Mohammed Al-Madani, and Dr. Hussein Maqbouli, a member of the Supreme Committee for Emergency Response and Flood Damage and Field Officer of the Joint Operations Room, reviewed the repair efforts and addressed the flood damage in the districts of Bayt Al-Faqih and Al-Durayhimi in the Hodeida Governorate. The Minister of Transport and Public Works, Mohammed Qahim received a briefing from the officials responsible for road maintenance and construction projects. This briefing addressed the restoration of homes and infrastructure that had been damaged due to the heavy and torrential rains in the governorate. The member of the Supreme Political Council explained that the visit comes in the implementation of the directives of the revolutionary leadership of the Supreme Political Council to review the conditions of the affected people and the level o f implementation of the necessary treatment work and procedures to facilitate the return of normal life to the affected areas. He pointed out that the efforts made in the maintenance of damaged roads and partial collapses in some main and secondary roads, which affected the movement of transport and caused the disruption of many services, were examined. Al-Nuaimi and Al-Madani urged the emergency teams to strengthen efforts and work on treatments and measures necessary to reduce the damage of floods, noting the efforts made by various official authorities, the Hodeida Governorate Support Fund, bodies, institutions, funded units, associations, and community initiatives in implementing relief and emergency work at the road level, building housing units for affected families and providing other relief means. Al-Nuaimi, Al-Madani, and their companions inspected the progress of work in repairing the damage caused by the floods to the roads passing through the valleys and were briefed on the progress of work in the housing unit, which is being built to house 35 families in al-Lawia area of Ad-Durayhimi district, funded by the Hodeida Governorate Support Fund and the contribution of several official authorities and society. The officials praised the rapid response efforts of the concerned authorities, the community, cooperative societies, and Knights of Development, stressing the importance of redoubling efforts in addressing the damage and opening roads to accelerate the return of normal life to the affected areas.
