The Government of Change and Construction confirmed that it is working closely with local authorities to take the necessary measures to respond to and limit the effects of heavy rainfall and floods in a number of governorates. Minister of Information and government spokesman Hashem Sharaf al-Din explained in a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that the government is following with interest and care the effects that citizens are facing resulting from heavy rainfall, floods and sudden rock collapses. He pointed out that the recent weather conditions resulted in a number of missing persons and damage to homes and property in Al-Mahwit Governorate, and other governorates witnessed similar events before it.
