The Office of Agriculture and Irrigation in Sana'a province, the South-Eastern Sector Multi-Purpose Agricultural Cooperative Association, and the Imam Al-Hadi Social Development Association, on Wednesday launched a project to distribute walnut, almond, and coffee seedlings to farmers in the areas of Hamal, Sana', and Hadda, New Sana'a District. The distribution of seedlings aims to enhance agricultural production in the governorate, contribute to the development of the local economy, and improve the living conditions of farmers in the district. At the inauguration, the governor's agent, Abu Nujoom Al-Mahaqeri, stressed the importance of expanding agriculture in Yemen according to the diversity and difference of climates and terrain, and creating an agricultural renaissance that includes various crops and products. In turn, the Director General of the Agriculture Office, Engineer Ali Al-Qairi, praised the efforts of the Southern Sector Association and the Isolation Association in the New Sanaa District in planting and distributing more than 3,000 seedlings of coffee, almonds, and walnuts to the farmers of the region. He pointed out that, within the framework of the support provided by the governorate leadership and the Agriculture Office to farmers with the aim of advancing the agricultural sector, support was provided in improved grain seeds, garlic seeds, and a number of various seedlings, during this season. He called on farmers to go to cooperative societies, each in their sector, to obtain the required quantities. The inauguration was attended by the presidents of the Southern Sector Cooperative Society, Ali Al-Madghamr, the Imam Al-Hadi Hashem Al-Hamli Association, and the coordinator of the Bonyan Development Foundation, Muhammad Awad.
