The Federal Police forces arrested a murder suspect in Baghdad. The Federal Command stated in a statement that: "After finding a body in the (Hussainiya Al-Maamel) area, a security team was immediately formed from the 20th Brigade of the 5th Division in the Federal Police, in cooperation with the brigade's intelligence detachments, and after tracking surveillance cameras and carrying out information gathering and investigation operations and expanding the search circle, the accused was arrested and the murder weapon (a Kalashnikov rifle, ammunition and other materials) was seized in his possession, and he was handed over with the seized items to the competent authorities.
