Ibb Governor Abdul Wahed Salah was briefed on Thursday on the damage caused to several houses in the neighborhoods of Al-Mashhad, Al-Azba, and Al-Sana in the Old City in Al-Mashannah district, as a result of heavy rains. Governor Salah assured the local authority's full support for the affected families. He directed the Zakat and Awqaf authorities to quickly assist and compensate the owners of damaged homes, and to address the damages that can be addressed. He called on the well-to-do and businessmen to pay attention to such affected families and work to help and relieve them. Governor Salah and Shura Council member Nabil al-Hubaishi, deputy governor-director of the directorate, Harith al-Maliki, and Zakat Majid al-Tineh were also briefed on the ferries being worked on, and some of them were cleaned to reduce the risk of floods. He directed the concerned offices to continuously field visits, form technical teams to inspect the ferries, and intervene when needed to clean them and remove waste from them.
