Vienna, Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi said that the situation at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant remains worrying and very fragile. In statements broadcast by Russian Sputnik news agency, Grossi said that the situation Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant is still worrying due to the ongoing military activity there. There had been several incidents there; last April, there were a group of attacks using drones, including directly against one of the reactors, which makes the situation very fragile and very unstable, Grossi added. The Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant is considered the largest of its kind in Europe, and battles have been taking place in its vicinity since Russian forces took control of it in March 2022, amid mutual accusations between Kyiv and Moscow of endangering its security.
