The Ministry of Human Rights condemned the Saudi regime's detention of Yemeni pilgrims. In a statement, a copy of which was received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the Ministry of Human Rights considered this shameful act a provocation to the feelings of Yemenis, a violation of the values of the true Islamic religion, and a violation of laws, treaties, humanitarian principles, and social norms. It stated that these complications and abuses impose on the Islamic nation today more than ever before to save this universal religious value from tampering, since Hajj does not concern the Saudi regime alone, but rather concerns all Muslims, which necessitates pressure on the Saudi regime and preventing it from making decisions and imposing illegal measures for the sake of the Sacred House of God and the rituals of Hajj and Umrah. The Ministry confirmed that the responsibility for the return of Yemeni pilgrims to the capital, Sana'a, lies with the Saudi authorities in accordance with previously approved agreeme nts, holding the Saudi regime fully responsible for all the psychological and material repercussions to which detained Yemeni pilgrims are exposed, demanding that they be quickly returned to Sana'a and compensated. The statement called for lifting the blockade on Yemen, starting with the complete and immediate opening of Sana'a International Airport and all airports, ports and land crossings, stressing that the continuation of such measures in light of the blockade imposed on Yemen by sea, land and air increases the suffering of pilgrims and all the Yemeni people. Human Rights Ministry expressed its regret at the continued international silence regarding the aggression countries' continued political blackmail and politicization of all files of a humanitarian nature, calling on the United Nations , international human rights organizations , bodies to assume their responsibilities towards these practices , the continuation of the blockade , the resulting crimes, violations and catastrophic human suffering.
