The Ministry of Human Rights has confirmed that Saudi crimes and violations against citizens and their property in the border areas of Sa'ada province have persisted without respite, even during the so-called de-escalation phase. In a statement to Saba, the Ministry highlighted that the Saudi regime continues its aggressive actions, including blatant bombings and other crimes in the border districts. The most recent incident involved the martyrdom of a citizen and injuries to others due to Saudi enemy fire in al-Sheikh area of Munabeh border district. The statement detailed that the Saudi attacks have included missile and artillery bombardments, drone strikes, and direct targeting of civilians, with increasing frequency and severity amidst a backdrop of international silence. It was noted that cluster bombs and remnants of the aggression are still causing significant casualties and threatening the lives of thousands of civilians in Sa'ada. Over the past sixty days, these attacks have resulted in more than 85 civilian casualties, including women and children. The Ministry stated that since the beginning of 2022, repeated criminal attacks by the Saudi enemy army in the border areas have led to the death and injury of nearly three thousand civilians. This is part of the ongoing Saudi aggression against Yemen, which has caused the death and injury of thousands of civilians and extensive destruction of infrastructure nationwide. Additionally, the Saudi army continues to commit grave violations against large numbers of migrant workers, including deliberate killings and systematic attacks. The Ministry of Human Rights condemned the continued silence of the UN Security Council, the United Nations, and international organizations regarding these crimes, holding the Saudi regime and all its accomplices accountable for the targeting of civilians and their property.
