Baghdad: The Houthi group announced this evening, Monday, an American-British raid targeting the coastal Hodeidah Governorate, western Yemen. The group's "Al-Masirah" channel stated in a brief news that "the American-British aggression targeted the coast of Al-Faza area in the At-Tuhayta Directorate in Hodeidah Governorate with a raid." The channel did not address other details regarding the results of the raid, while no comment was immediately issued by the United States or Britain. Hodeidah, which overlooks the Red Sea, is one of the most important Yemeni governorates, as it contains an international airport and 3 vital ports, in addition to having a long coastal strip. "In solidarity with Gaza", which is facing a devastating Israeli war with American support, the Houthis are targeting Israeli cargo ships or those linked to it in the Red Sea, the Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean with missiles and drones. Since the beginning of this year, a US-led coalition has been launching raids that it says target " Houthi sites" in various parts of Yemen, in response to their naval attacks, which have been met with occasional responses from the group. With the intervention of Washington and London and the escalation of tensions in January, the Houthi group announced that it now considers all US and British ships as military targets.
