The office of the General Authority for Zakat in Hodeida province launched a field campaign to raise awareness of the importance of performing Zakat obligation and to encourage Zakat al-Fitr, which is paid before Eid prayer. The campaign aims to distribute posters to mosques, markets, and public gatherings of citizens in the province center and all districts, to raise awareness of this obligation and the necessity of adhering to it as it is one of the pillars of Islam. For his part, the Director of the Zakat Authority Office, Muhammad Hazza, explained that the week-long campaign targets markets and citizens' gatherings in mosques and councils to enhance awareness of the performance of Zakat obligation, including Zakat al-Fitr, which is set at 550 riyals per person, pointing out that the campaign will include the distribution of thousands of posters and awareness brochures. While the director of the Guidance Office in the province, Abdul Rahman Al-Warfi, pointed out the importance of the community awareness campaign about the obligation of zakat and its provisions that God Almighty imposed on every person capable of performing it.
