HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani met with HE President of the Republic of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan, on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit in the Kazakh capital, Astana. During the meeting, they discussed the strategic bilateral cooperation relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to enhance them. They also exchanged views on all current regional and international issues, especially the developments in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories. HE Chief of the Amiri Diwan Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, HE Minister of State for Energy Affairs Eng. Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi, HE Minister of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al-Thani, HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi, and a number of Their Excellencies members of the official delegation attended the meeting. On the Turkish side, HE Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan, HE Minister of Energy Alparslan Bayraktar, HE Minister of Finance Mehmet Simsek, HE Minister of Trade Omer Bolat, and a number of senior officials attended the meeting.
