HEBRON-Ma'an- The Hebron Municipality held a workshop on Wednesday in the hall of the Child Happiness Complex to update the strategic development plan for the years 2023-2026, which was prepared in accordance with the strategic planning guide prepared by the Ministry of Local Government and the Local Authorities Development and Lending Fund for the year 2018 and its amendments for the year 2022, and with the support of the Local Authorities Development and Lending Fund within the Capacity Development Program, with the participation of Municipal Council member Eng. Abdul Rahman Badr and the plan committee coordinators in the municipality and committee members from the local community. Engineer Badr welcomed the attendees, stressing the importance of evaluating and following up on the plan, which positively reflects on its implementation. He praised the efforts of the committees and the local community, pointing out the importance of integrated work and that the city plan is part of the governorate's plan and thus the entire nation. The Director of the Strategic Planning and International Relations Unit, Alam Al-Ashhab, explained that this update to the plan that was adopted in August of last year has become an urgent necessity, pointing out that the circumstances of the war have created new and major challenges that have affected the progress of the plan in various sectors, in addition to their impact on the various sources of funding, stressing the need to re-evaluate priorities to be in line with the requirements of the current stage. During the workshop, a presentation was given on the follow-up and evaluation tables with achievement rates and measurement indicators prepared according to the development and strategic planning guide. After discussing the plan and tables, the coordinators of the committees in the various fields commented on what was accomplished in 2023. Several recommendations were made, the most important of which was to re-examine the 2023 projects and amend the proposed projects for 2024. Source: Maan News Agency
