Health Minister Majed Abu Ramadan announced on Friday that the polio vaccination campaign in the southern governorates for children under the age of 10 will begin as of Sunday. Minister Abu Ramadan explained, in a statement, that the vaccination program will be as follows: from Sunday until Wednesday (1-4/9/2024) in Deir al-Balah Governorate, from Thursday until next Sunday (5-8/9/2024) in Khan Yunis Governorate, and from Monday until Thursday (9-12/9/2024) in Gaza and the North Governorate. The Minister of Health confirmed that cold chain equipment will be transferred from one region to another according to the vaccination program in each governorate. He stressed that the Ministry of Health is leading the vaccination campaign in the southern governorates of Palestine in cooperation with the World Health Organization, UNICEF, and UNRWA, confirming that the vaccine is completely safe. The Minister of Health addressed our people in the southern governorates to vaccinate their children and not to pay attenti on to the rumors spread by the occupation, through which it tries to cast doubt on the validity of these vaccines.
