Ramallah - Ma'an - The Ministry of Health said that about 500 health sector personnel have been killed and hundreds injured since the start of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip on October 7. The ministry added in a statement tonight that the occupation arrested more than 310 others, while 130 ambulances were destroyed in the Gaza Strip, and health facilities and workers in the West Bank were subjected to more than 340 attacks. She pointed out that the occupation's deliberate targeting of medical infrastructure has deprived citizens of access to basic health care services. The ministry added that poor water and sanitation conditions, along with overcrowding, have led to an increase in preventable diseases and premature death, noting that the Gaza Strip is facing a public health disaster due to unsafe water resources and a lack of basic hygiene needs for more than 1.7 million forcibly displaced people. She added that the severe shortage of medical workers and supplies, including anesthesia and antibi otics, is leaving health care workers struggling to save lives. The ministry called for the unconditional entry of humanitarian supplies to address the severe shortage and help evacuate the wounded to receive life-saving medical care abroad. The Israeli occupation forces continue their aggression on the Gaza Strip by land, sea and air since October 7, 2023, which resulted in the martyrdom of 39,790 citizens and the injury of 91,702 others, while thousands of victims are still under the rubble and on the roads, and ambulance and civil defense crews cannot reach them.
