The head of the Counter-Terrorism Service, Lieutenant General Karim Al-Tamimi, discussed security cooperation with the head of the European Union Mission. The CTS stated in a statement: "Al-Tamimi met at the headquarters of the Counter-Terrorism Service in Baghdad today with the head of the European Union Mission and his accompanying delegation." The two sides discussed security cooperation in combating terrorism in terms of holding workshops and conferences and exchanging expertise and information with the European Union countries. The two sides also discussed "the Iraqi national strategy to combat terrorism and the mechanisms of cooperation in its implementation in order to achieve the desired goal of reaching a secure and stable Iraq."
