The Head of the European Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bakr Ahmed Al-Jaf, discussed with the Finnish Ambassador to Baghdad, Anu Saarela, in the presence of the Finnish Consul Pia Hellen, ways to develop bilateral relations between the two countries. The two sides stressed during the meeting, according to a statement by the ministry, the importance of holding a round of political consultations between Iraq and Finland, which could contribute to enhancing cooperation in various fields. The statement explained that the invitation to Iraq to participate in the Helsinki Policy Forum was addressed, due to its great importance and a platform for exchanging views on recent developments in the Middle East.
