Head of the Hikma Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, warned of "the region and the world being dragged" into a comprehensive war with the continuation of the Israeli bombing of the Gaza Strip. Al-Hakim said in a statement, "The rise in the number of victims of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, according to the announcement of the Palestinian Ministry of Health, to 40,005 martyrs, and 92,401 wounded, is a major tragedy and an unprecedented war of extermination, and a flagrant violation of human rights." He added, "As we condemn these brutal and hideous massacres, we renew our call to the international community and its working organizations to stand up to the barbaric killing machine of the usurping entity, and work to stop its brutal crimes against the oppressed Palestinian people." Al-Hakim renewed his warning that the continuation of this aggression may drag the region and the world into a comprehensive war and the fall of more victims." Source: National Iraqi News Agency
