Engineer Adel Ahmed Margham, Head of the Customs Authority, in his meeting today ,Sunday, merchants and companies in the renewable energy sector ,discussed ways to provide cooperation by the Authority in the field of exemptions. The meeting touched on the importance of this sector and the keenness to encourage the local market and motivate traders and companies to invest in this field. The head of the department stressed the need for the brands imported from abroad to be of good quality , specifications, and not just for the purpose of achieving financial profits, especially since this sector has become vital , important , needs sincere cooperation and efforts, taking into account the circumstances of citizens. In turn, the attendees pointed out the importance of raising awareness about the uses of renewable energy through rational consumption methods, in addition to the high cost of these technologies compared to traditional energy technologies. The meeting was attended by the Assistant Undersecretary fo r Technical Affairs, Abdul Karim Rasa', the Executive General Director of the General Federation of Yemeni Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Dr. Taha Al-Mahbashi, and a number of general directors of the department.
