Gaza - Together - The Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres, warned before the UN Security Council on Thursday that the Middle East is 'on the verge' of sliding into a 'comprehensive regional conflict,' calling for the utmost restraint in 'this moment of extreme danger.' Guterres said, "In Gaza, six and a half months of Israeli military operations have created hell" on the humanitarian level, stressing that two million Palestinians are suffering in the devastated Strip from "death, destruction, deprivation of vital humanitarian aid" and hunger.
