Sa'ada Governor Mohamed Jaber Awad inaugurated on Monday the expansion works of Sa'ada Maternity and Childhood Hospital - Moderate Acute Malnutrition Treatment Center in the governorate center. At the inauguration, Governor Awad stressed the local authority's keenness to improve medical services at the Maternity and Childhood Hospital within the framework of the guidelines of the national vision to pay attention to maternal and newborn health and reduce the mortality rate among newborns. He pointed out that the opening of the expansion of the Mother and Child Hospital in the province makes the hospital pivotal and a reference for the province and neighboring provinces in the medical field. The Governor of Saada noted the role of the hospital administration in developing medical services and alleviating the pressure on central hospitals in the province. He stressed the need to redouble efforts to improve the level of services provided to mothers and children, especially in light of the continued aggression and blockade. He expressed the support of the leadership of the local authority for the hospital, as it is the only reference hospital in the province in the field of mother and child. He praised the efforts of the hospital administration in developing and expanding maternal and child care services, despite many difficulties and scarcity of resources and capabilities. For her part, the Director of the Maternity and Childhood Hospital in the governorate, Dr. Amal Mohamed Al-Murtada, confirmed that the opening of the expansion will contribute to improving the services provided to mothers and newborns and accommodating the increasing numbers of patients and visitors from inside and outside the governorate. He pointed to the keenness of the hospital administration and its medical, technical, and administrative staff to continue efforts to improve the level of services provided to citizens and overcome difficulties and challenges. The Governor of Saada was also briefed on several health sector projects, most n otably the rehabilitation of warehouses, tanks, firefighting networks, generators, refrigeration refrigerators, and central drug incubators. He listened to an explanation from the concerned about the qualitative health projects witnessed by the governorate that contribute to the advancement of the health sector, most notably the Al-Mahib Center, the Central Laboratory, the Blood Bank, Monabbih Hospitals, Razih, Maran, Hidan and the giant screen for education.
