Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi affirmed that GCC states continuously strive to support and enhance cooperative and partnership relations with regional and international organisations that are active in humanitarian and relief work. This came during the GCC Secretary General's meeting on Wednesday with Secretary General and CEO of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) Jagan Chapagain, on the sidelines of his participation in the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. He added that several topics were discussed, including ways to strengthen the cooperative relationship between the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and the GCC states, as well as addressing key health issues and challenges on both regional and international fronts.
